Scott Steele plays guitar and bass guitar, and sings. He plays other instruments too, but not as well. He grew up with surf music, early electronic experimentation in the style of the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, progressive rock, madrigal singing, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, jazz, and Krautrock ringing in his ears. He plays in The 82nd Avenue Brass Band, a New Orleans-style marching band in Portland, Oregon, with a battery-powered amp strapped to his back. Now that's dedication! But one of the things he values most in his musical world is his 15 year partnership with Eric Hausmann and Mike Mahaffay in two free-improvising groups, The Gone Orchestra and Tres Gone (www.cdbaby.com/cd/TresGone8). scottsteele97233@comcast.net
